 Personal Training Client, Bob Manser:

Bob before

I cannot explain enough how much losing 50 lbs and dropping from a 38 waist to 32 waist in 3 months has changed my life.  I made a decision last fall to get into shape over the winter months.  I set up a training program for 20 sessions at Studio Energi and began in mid-December 2010.  I knew the first thing I needed to do was to make huge changes to what and when I ate.  I did not follow any pre-set diet but made every meal I ate make sense and stopped all fast foods.

When I started with Barb, she not only showed me the basics and taught me the proper way to train, but also talked about food and diet and pushed me in both aspects.  Even though I only trained with Barb twice a week I took her advice and routine to my other gym and continued with what I had learned.  Now I have more energy than I have had in years and also a healthy body helps produce a healthy mind as well.

Bob after

I just want to say to Jeff, Annika, and most importantly Barb that I would nothave been able to reach this first goal in such a short time and would not be motivated to continue forward from here without them.

Thank you so much Studio Energi.  You have made my life so much better.

Remember, it is not only a diet or an exercise program that will help you lose weight, but a lifestyle change.  Anyone who puts their heart into it can accomplish their goals and the great staff at Studio Energi are the people to see.

Cheers, Bob Manser

Teen Fit Camp runs every summer for those teens looking for an addition to their active lifestyles:

Both of my daughters attended fit camp last year and are eager to do so, again! Not only did they finish the week feeling fit and healthy, they were motivated to continue a similar program on their own. The Studio Energi staff are great role models to my girls showing that by eating healthy, exercising regularly and having a positive attitude you’ll not only look great but feel good too.

(excerpts from Bruce’s amazing race report from Ironman Lake Placid 2011)

I stumbled upon a small boutique-style fitness centre called Studio Energi. At the heart of this operation would be a large hearted, brush-cutted, rosie-cheeked guy named Jeff Beech (somewhat less than 6′ tall).  At his side, his cute athletic wife, Annika- who seems to be happy all the time – even at the end of a tormenting spin session. This looked like it could finally be a fitness centre I could fit into my life. Simply stated, they would evoke this type of “stupid love”. Now you can’t google this term – so let me describe it.

If you own a dog, it’s like that reception you get every time you come home. It doesn’t matter what you’re wearing, whether you had a great or terrible day at work, whether you brought flowers, that “stupid love” you receive is always there. Goofy may need to be placed in as a descriptive for Jeff – but only in a kind way, and this is how I would describe it.   On the run in my Ironman, up the road, there he was – that sub 6′ tall puppy, Jeff – having given me countless hours of training guidance – I felt I had let him down. I could hardly face him. Then came the “stupid love”. He stood there with a smile, wagging his tail and told me “we love you”. He had me at “we”.
